Marina State Beach is off Highway 1 in the town of Marina, CA, north of Monterey. From either north or southbound Highway 1, take the Reservation Road exit in Marina. From the turnoff head towards the coast: from southbound turn right, from northbound turn left and go under the freeway. Turn right at Dunes Drive and go all the way to the end of the street. To get to the beach take the trail at the end of the road that heads through the dunes. Be certain to stay on the trail due to restoration projects. The monitoring site is along the beach to the left as you are facing it.
