Stinson Beach is located about 20 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. From 101, take the Mill Valley/Stinson Beach exit. At the second stop light (gas station on the corner), turn left onto CA-1. Stay on Highway 1 and follow signs to Stinson Beach. The road to Stinson is steep and winding; vehicles over 35 feet long are not advised. Drive through the town of Stinson and turn left into the main parking lot for the beach. Park in the central the lot near the restrooms and shower area. The survey area is directly across from the restrooms.
