Located in San Mateo County, north of Half Moon Bay along Highway 1. The beach is just south of the Pillar Point breakwater and harbor. Heading south Highway 1, turn right on Magellan Ave. There are dirt parking spaces on both sides of the street, park and then walk down to the ocean front. The Miramar Beach Restaurant will be on your left.  At the end of Magellan Ave, there are stairs on your right to access the beach. The site is just north of the stairwell.
